Valkiri Island is located approximately 12 miles off the coast in the Merchant's Sea. Although it is a large island, capable of holding a village, it is quite inhospitable. There are few if any trees and the main body of the island is extremely unstable volcanic rock. The surrounding waters contain sharp coral that can sink even the mightiest ships and the currents around the island are strong and unpredictable. Skilled sailors are able to navigate to the island, however, and the unique landscape offers ideal training grounds, and the isolation creates a prime area for criminal behaviors...
